Whistle at certain throttle %
I have recently had my throttle body and intake manifold ported. Since re-installed them I notice a squeek / whistle at about 30% throttle. If i push down the throttle as I cross 30% I hear a squeek. Sometimes I can get it to hold 30% and it will continue to whistle the whole time. It seems indipendant of gear, speed, RPM, etc...
Could I have installed something wrong or could it possibly by a product of the air passing through the ported TB and making a whistle noise?
Also, I checked and there are no boost leaks from the TB or IM area.
Any idea's?

I have checked and everything is tightened from what I can tell, also the gaskets are all there and as I stated there is no boost leaking from the TB or IM.
I dont think it is related to a vacuum or boost leak sounds as it happens only at EXACTLY the same throttle angle and it happens every time I am at that throttle angle.

I have not tried it in neutral, I'll give that a shot, although it might be tuff to hear as the engine will probably be at high RPM.
It does not make any noise when the car is turned off though.

I have that issue with my TB, basically the air is passing over that hole where the isc stepper motor pumps air into the TB , causing a type of whistle, essentially like you blowing over the top of a coke bottle .
on the stock TB this " hole" is covered up , but with it ported it is not.
Hope that helps. I searched and searched for leaks of any sort in my system, but I have none, so maybe you are having the same problem as I am " not that it is necessarily a problem"
search under my user name for "whistling Throttlebody"

No the cams did not help at all,
I changed the TB out to another ported one, with the exact same results. I put the stock TB back on and the sound goes away.
Yes it is very annoying but now it is drowned out by the sound of a Ball bearing turbo so I feel a little better
good luck with it

As long as it is not a problem or indicating that something is wrong I dont really care.
My car makes so much noise at this point what the hell is one more whistle, lol.
