re torque cam bolts?
I just installed my cams in my IX. I torqued the cam bolts to the gear at 65lbs and the arp head studs 75lbs. Is it necessary to put some miles on the car, go back and retorque the cam bolts and arp head studs? I was told I should but I dont really wanna get back into the head.

i'm new to 4 cylinder performance, on my track car i always re torque the headstuds after the first heat cycle. I used to run copper head gaskets i had to check them almost every other run at the track PAIN!! learn something new everyday.

cam bolts - no need to retorque. Head studs - if they were done without replacing the HG - Definatley! if the head came off and a new HG was used - no need.
PS Cam bolts have different torque levels for in and out cam! be careful you dont torqu the in to the same spec as the out.

I did use the arp lube that came with the studs. And no i didn't change the headgasket. I used the how-to to install arp studs. The one where you change one head bolt at a time.
hey pop, what do you mean by torque in and out? i used the evomoto how-to to install the cams.
I'm sure I installed correctly.
