Whats your gas mileage been like? I am betting under 200 miles a tank from the fuel dumping with that timing getting pulled.

With your 2000+ post count i would hope you would know there is a huge difference. If not then you might want to make sure you get your facts straight before trying to post advice to someone else.

+1000... trust me OP.. the IX plugs are DIFFERENT. To be exact... the IX plugs have a longer thread than the VIII plugs. I mean they are totally different in dimension. sparkplug.com check it out...

I was running 26psi daily but i also was running 100octane only. The car was tunned and i have all the supporting mods. Eventually the car had the same problem you describe. We thought it was phantom knock from my noisy built valve train. Turns out i had a blown head gasket but no signs of smoke or any thing. We did a leak down test and compression test and found cylinder 3 was a little off par. Turns out it was a blown head gasket as i said. Even with ARP's and proper torque settings. It was a stock MLS head gasket brand new when installed. The motor is apart and im going JAM 2.3 and im still debating on a TS 30r or traditional single scroll. W00t!!!1!!1
