built head and stock block?

with a larger turbo than stock................can a built head and stock block give significant gains? on pump or meth

I would say it all depends on your setup and who tunes the car.

I also am thinking of getting a somewhat built head, port job, and some other stuff but I forget. Anyways, It should give you a decsent gain in Hp and tourque. It's not going to be like 75hp or anything like that.

Figure this, the more air and the more gas you let into the engine the more power you are going to get.

I would drop in pistons and rods which can be done with the motor in place before i messed with the head. Cams would noteworthy but you would be surprised how well the stock head can flow. Dual springs can be done without removal of the head if you wanted to revv.

There is definately a gain in spool and high end power with a ported head. Although you will need to crank the boost up to fully realize the advantages of a ported head.

Yes there will be a gain with the stock block, but all depends on the tune. As farted stated, might as well do pistons, rods, and upgrade rod and head studs/bolts while your in there.
