well looks like my plans for the dyno are over since my clutch has left the building. Today while doing a 2-3 pull on the freeway it decided to give me problems. However after letting it sit for a bit it seems fine now, but I think only until I rip on it a few more times and when its hot its toast.
so I am sorry to say no real data from me till next year

Just thought about it . . . I'll be running the stock maf w/ stock ecu on a stock block errrrrr TOM!! what kind of power do you think I'll put down? I'm nervous as too how long my car will last with 87,000 miles no t-belt job done either_ if it blows 2.1 or 2.3 over the winter

Here guys read the basics of turbocharger!
Q: What is a CHRA?
A: The CHRA is the center housing and rotating assembly, it houses the compressor wheel, turbine wheel, turbine shaft, bearing system and other small parts.
Q: So my compressor housing says .60 on it, does that mean i have a 60trim?
A: No, thats not true, the .60ar refers to the aspect ratio, but most know it as the size of the compressor HOUSING not the compressor wheel. you can put a 50trim, 57trim, 60trim, 60-1 and a wide range of others in a .60ar compressor housing. Just because your compressor housing says .60 doesnt mean that its a 60trim.
Q: What are the most common T4E compressor wheels?
A:
-40trim (T4E compressor wheel)
-46trim (T4E compressor wheel)
-50trim (T4E compressor wheel and a SRT favorite)
-54trim (T4E compressor wheel)
-57trim (T4E compressor wheel one of my favorites)
-60trim (T4E compressor wheel)
-60-1
Q: What are the most common compressor housings?
A:
-50ar
-60ar (T4E usually has a 3" inlet)
-70ar (T4S usually has a 4" inlet)
Q: What does T3/T4E really mean?
A: Well a T3/T4 is a hybrid of a T3 hot side and a T4 cold side. The T4E refers to a family of T4E compressor wheels that is paired with the T3 thot side (turbine side).
Q: What turbine housings are available on a T3/T4E?
A: Well there are 5 basic turbine housings, available, they are:
.36ar (very uncommon and usually too small)
.48ar
.63ar
.82ar
1.06ar
Q: What does stage 3 mean?
A: Well stage 3 is a turbonetics term for a specific turbine wheel, Garrett has a term for basically the same turbine wheel, but they call it "T31"
There are 3 basic turbonetics turbine wheels: Stage 1, 2, 3, and 5
The higher the stage wheel, the slower the turbo usually spools, for example, if you have a 50trim compressor wheel, the stage 1 turbine wheel will spool faster than the the stage 5 turbine wheel, but it will not flow as much turbine gases as a stage 5 at high RPMs.
Garrett turbos use different terminology, the stage 3 is referred to a T31 with a 76trim, the stage 5 is referred to a T350, most guys use stage 3's or T31 turbine wheels.
Q: A 60-1 says it has the same trim as a 60trim, whats the deal with that?
A: Well they do have the same trim, but the 60-1 has an additional compressor blade (7 compressor blades) instead of the standard 60trims (6 compressor blades)
Q: How do i calculate compressor wheel trim?
A: Trim is calculated by doing the following equation:
Inducer Squared, divided by Exducer Squared, then multiply the equation by 100.
IE:
If your inducer is 80mm then:
80^2 = 6400
If your exducer is 100mm then:
100^2 = 10000
6400/10000 = .64 x 100 = 64trim
If you guys have any tech questions feel free to ask

those compressor maps make me nervous, especially testing out the 58trim which no one has yet. running 30-32psi on pump meth . . . getting tuned early - mid september. Tom I hope this is some good stuff, If you get your 58 on and tuned, get back to me asap with some numbers, dyno chart and feedback
