Best Cams for an VIII stock turbo-gt35r
Hey guys I am getting ready to choose some cams for my 03 evo. From searching, it it looks like the GSC S1's are the way to go for stock turbo all the way up to gt35r. Everyone seems to love the Cossy cams for IX's but didn't find anything for the VIII. So I though I would make this poll and see what everyone thinks. Remember this is a poll for best cams for Stock turbo all the way up to GT35R on an Evo VIII.

The best cams for a stock turbo are not going to be the best cams for a GT35R turbo. I think the absolutel best overcall cams that make the best power/torque on combinations ranging from mild to extreme are the HKS 272/272s, hands down.
I see more hype than anything with the GSC S1s. The GSC 272s I always saw making good numbers and people running good times with, however, the S1s, all I hear is hype, hype and some more hype and barely ANY numbers.

Sabastian, if you love them oh so much why you gonna sell them? lol I mean that a bit of confusing logic, and they would be even better for the green you got sitting there.

If you were like brandon and hung out with us on the weekends you would know 
Im selling the Evo 8 and waiting on the right 9. I love the 9's more and Im tired of the silver. Brandon and I have been putting my car back to complete stock form for the last couple of weeks. Plus I am tired of the trans issues. 6 months of owning the car equaling to less than 3k miles being put on the odometer? Yeah no thanks. 
Are you going to the tuner shoot out the 25th?

oh the BC280's are great if you wanna build a sleeper car too. Idle quality is PERFECT! I got away with telling people that they were stock cams But they twisted up better than Brandon from a stop. (gotta love the 9k rmp range)

Hey i would hang out but yall never call me so i just go ummm "hangout" with the other car guys. Seems to be alot of srt 4 lately, but they are more fun to pick on because they always get so mad that there 50 trims cant ourtun a stock turboed 9. Anyways yeah i might go, i would hate to have to come out there and embarass all you guys, jk. Give me a call, ill be out this weekend.

your best bet is to determine what other mods you want to do e.i meth or not, storker or built 2.0l which turbo with which hotside...once you know what youre running your car out to RPM wise and where boost comes in, youll figure out which cams will suit you best. personally id stay right around some 272s with a good lift to them you could always have some custom cut-but its easier to go with whats on the market already...besides they are tired and true (for thier respective gains...)

I would go with the HKS but if your on a budget I would go for Brian Crower best bang for the buck. Let me know if your interested in any. I can get them for you at a good price.
