I got my 03 knock sensitiveity map #1 reflashed on my last tune. The flash originated from Mitsu themselves and is what they flash into the 03's that have random misfire codes. Mine would rock on the dyno knock free then as soon as you got onto the road I would get knock counts in the teens. We flashed the new sensor map in and it all went away. That may be your fix too. As far as were to get that flash I would start by asking the dealership. But since your running the EXEDE piggyback computer, they might give you some trouble.

Oh, if no luck at the dealership, guess you can search around this board and find out the settings, then use a tatrix cable to change it in your ecu.

I get the code all the time. Before I did my Mods, the dealer reflashed with an updated map, never got the code again. Then after my mods and cust Dynoflash, misfire codes all the time, usually on the freeway cruising or barely giving it throttle. I go to AutoZone to clear them out. Even after what I have read, new plugs etc.. the code persist. Annoying more than anything. I believe the Cust Tune has something to do with it since it was fine after the dealer update, but who knows?

I also sometimes get this code while cruising on the highway. It started happening after my mods. It will just appear without an audible reason. I bought a code reader and am able to clear the code (check engine light) myself.
