Anybody have magnacore plug wires?

I've got 30k on the clock and I just changed the oil and air filter and I'm about to change the plugs and wires. I was wondering if anybody has these plug wires or knows if there a decent brand cuz I've heard good and bad about them. I'm all stock and going to be that way for a little while.

Don't change plugs and wires just for the hell of it. Only change them if the stock ones have gone bad. Your stock plugs are Iridium and last a long time unless modded, and the stock plug wires are better than Magnecor wires.

When you searched for info on these wires, what did you find? I'm assuming you saw this thread since it shows up right away when looking for threads with the word Magnecor in the title...

I had a 99 GSX before and a lot of people on a dsm forum said they didn't like them for various reasons. I usually get my stuff from extremepsi and all they have is magnecor.

yeah I was spelling "magnecor" wrong.

Anyways thanx for the info man, saved me some bones.

Good.

On my 1G DSMs, Magnecor wires were a must over the stock wires, but on the Evo, that's not the case.

Magnecors created more problems with my car than what they were worth. The terminals that connected to the plugs weren't of the same quality as the oem ones and would never seem to make a real solid joint.

If you feel you need to upgrade the only options that I have personally found that are worth their weight were oem wires or the Ralliart wires.

Yeah I had Ngk's on my 2g. Comming from the DSM world I kinda thought I knew a lot about evo's since is basically the same engine, but there are subtle differences.

It would be nice if NGK came out with a wire set for our cars. Their wires usually have very nice fitment from my experience.

The stock wires I believe are made by NGK.

I had them on my BMW M3 & they rocked, of course, the stockers were a little worn. But the magnecor wires lasted a long time.

Save your money and dont get the magnecors.
like everyone says, the connection terminals don't fit right.

<--- Bought em, tried em, took em off, sold em..

If anything go Ralliart or OEM.
