gsc s1 evo8 cams

soo i just had my cams installed and decided to post up a vid. since theres no videos of these cams anywhere on the interweb.. so for all you there are comparing the hks 272s for daily driving, make up your own opinion on which is a better idle.. (this was before they fixed my idle)

More importantly, did you get dynoed after installing the S1s? Do you have any before/after numbers? I think these are very scarce for an EVO 8.

Actually I do not have before's besides a really crappy tune. But I just got tuned on a dynojet with the S1's. My buddy got tuned with a very similar setup on the exact same dyno with similar weather conditions. It was 60 % more humid on my day, but his day was 8 degrees warmer. Our only differences were - My downpipe is HKS; smaller than 3" and he runs HKS 272's and I run GSC S1's. He topped me up high, but gains down low looked to be very much in my favor, especially torque. I haven't studied his graph yet, but just for comparisons sake, I'd say the S1's are a more all around cam. Great power throughout the revs. 272's shine more on the top end, but they are also a very good choice. Our power differences could be due to my smaller downpipe, but highly unlikely. I'll post the graph in the next post.

Please post those dyno #'s when you get a chance. Were both of you guys running the same psi?

Dyno sheet of GSC S1's. Nothing really to compare to, but just wanted to post it up.

Yes, both of us were running 23 psi peak on 93 octane

And my buddy's car was peaking at around 350 hp and 323 Ft-lbs. I'll see if he can post his sheet.
