So far it seems for those of us wanting a nice DD with occasional 1/4 mile runs, the 2.2 and 35r or 2.3 and 35r are the way to go.

Here is a race between a 2.3l w/ 35r in a mirage awd against a 600rwhp Zo6 with a 100 shot 1st stage and 300 shot 2nd stage, so yea a 700rwhp Zo6 on the 1st stage, 1000rwhp on both.

On the second race 5:38min into vid, the mirage gave the Z06 the hit and then went around him squaking the tires.

http://www.mafia-motorsports.com/forums/videos.php 3rd vid to the right

Torque is awsome

So how about tracks such as AutoX and road courses? What does everybody think the ideal sort of applications in those areas.

If only those N2O kits really delivered the claimed hp boost.

The guy with the Zo6 seems to think it does, he runs around town claiming 1000rwhp.

Interesting video! There are a few vids of what a real 300 shot does when combined with a LS series motor on other forums. A Formula Firebird with a LS2 stroker and real 300 shot vs Curt Brown's old car now it's USP's car we all know the times it ran. Let me know if you haven't seen it.

auto-x I would say 2.3 with a 30R. The .63 SS or the .78 TS.
You live and die by low end torque in auto-x...unless you have stupid short gearing like a Formula SAE car

Your talking about Mikes car here in Florida, yea I've seen it. That Zo6 on the second run when it hit it sounded like he blew the tires away straight to redline, like he missed a gear He was pissed. Needless to say now he is on drag radials and running much better. I don't think there will be a rematch though. The yellow mirage owner is a member on this board, I'm sure he will post if he comes across this thread

94AWD is his username. I was just making sure a real 300 shot on a built or stroked H/C LS motor will put a Camaro/Formula in the 145mph traps+ and a C5 in the 150mph traps+. That mirage was 134mph on pump car which is how he used to run it.

Alot has changed since those traps that car has alot more power now even the owner of the Zo6 said it was a different car now. You are also not taking into consideration that they both where on street tires and a high hp rwd car is not going to duplicate what it does at the track on the street, unless going from a 60 roll or having a well prepped street and good tire. The Camaro that Mike raced was on a well prepped street with a good set of tires out back.

No doubt about that proper tires are definately needed. In reference to a C5 it's amazing what some suspension work and a 335 DR will do.
