Wet 50 Shot Question

So im planning on getting a Wet 50 shot. I heard its safe and that I can use it every day for as long as I own it and it wonte mess my car up. So in that case will I have to get new IC piping to install the 50 shot or will the stock piping work fine? Why No2 you ask cause you get great hp gains for cheap. 50 shot = 50hp by the way for those who dont know.

You could use the stock I/C piping but eventually the rubber portions start sliding off the aluminum pieces and get stretched out after time. It's not fun having to put it back on, on the side of the highway.

you can use your stock IC piping just fine. As long as your clamps are installed correctly they won't blow. I have over 82k miles on my stock IC pipes and worm clamps and only blew an IC clamp off once which was my own fault because I took an aftermarket IC off and put the stocker back on and didn't install the clamp correctly.

do a boost leak test and make sure you have no leaks, there is a greater chance of an IC pipe blowing off with a leak then w/o.

You would be better with an intercooler sprayer based nitrous application.

what are you using the NOS for????....... I think its a great pre-boost applicator. gets rid of all that turbo lag at the track.

fyi: in a boosted application a 50 shot is going to make somewhere in the around 80whp(on an EVO). Im doing a direct port 60 shot and it will be somehwere around 100whp.

i dont know who told you nitrous was safe but it is far from it. Im not saying that it can't be used safely for a long time but eventually its going to catch up with you. If you take two identical engines and put nitrous (not nos!) on one of them you will clearly see that the one with out the spray will run way longer. I am in no way trying to stop you from using it, i love it and have gotten into the tens with the help of it.

all im trying to tell you is you may think its cheap horsepower now but when nitrous goes wrong on a fuel injected car it no longer becomes cheap. i have two blocks siting in my shed to prove it.

if u get the car tuned with the nitrous ull be perfectly fine. im running a 75 shot, but i see about a 110 whp increase when i spray. i highly suggest a window switch as well from www.dynotunenitrous.com. it allows u to lock out first gear so youre able to launch without problems
