Hello, compresor side of turbo. Could I just screw a nipple on to it or would I need to weld it on?

Just go to a good hardware store and get a 1/8 NPT male to 1/4" barb male 90* elbow brass fitting. Remove the compressor housing or stuff a rag down into the discharge outlet. Drill a hole with a size "R" bit. Thread it with a 1/8 NPT tap. Apply a bit of Loctite, Hi-temp, liquid thread sealer to the threads and install. You should be ready to rumble.

Have you done this yourself?

No. But, that's how it is installed on the Piers Diesel Research Holsett HX-40 turbo on my Dodge. And it is how I would go about it myself. If you are squeamish about tapping your comp. hsg., then you could JB Weld the brass fitting after drilling. Alternately, if you don't want to mess with your compressor housing, then you could weld a nipple onto your UICP.

Depending on where you are located, there are a ton of turbo shops that can do this task for you in a few minutes, such as: Precision Turbo & Engine(Harry Hruska), Limit Engineering(John Craig, AZ), Blouch Turbo, Forced Performance, Full Race, Majestic, Turbochargers.com, Piers Diesel Research(WA), etc.

Why do you need it on the compressor housing?
