A .018" gap definitely isn't doing anything for power. All that's telling you is the ignition needs help.

Also, the short rod ratio of a 2.3 is going to work better with more retard on the intake cam, due to the slower piston movement around BDC. This is worth considering, whether you're looking to make a big peak figure for promotional purposes, or tweaking the torque curve for more midrange focus.

Congrats Chad!!! Awesome numbers and it has to be one of the nicest looking Evo's I have seen . If you get a chance shoot me those logs, I would love to what they look like on a 2.3, evilgti2000@yahoo.com .

I know you have been busy at the shop of late, but any new results worth posting Chad? Get past that elusive 500hp on that mustang dyno?

lol...

the porsche didnt break the hp record, but it did beat us on torque...

996 twin turbo big wheeled k24 gt2 turbos, headers, exhaust, software..

made 440whp452wtq!

we are building a 996 tt shortly with a k24 setup with 18g wheels in it. that car should hit 500whp on pump, and probably 485wtq...

of course, it takes 85K to build one
