theres a couple ways that this has been done:

traditionally:

buy rear clip of EVO of your choice. I know of a couple evo 7 rear clips that are stateside waiting for somebody with ***** to buy and stuff into the rear of a mirage. most likely, a 4-6 would be better for the 97-01 mirage, but newer is newer and there are arguments to be made.

cut out rear floor area, weld in new. convert to evo everything

alternatively, you can use outlander parts to AWD a 02+. closer to bolt on, but not evo. if you're making real power you probably want to stick to the EVO route.....

have fun!

why is the 4-6 better? is there difficulty in "converting" a 7+ shortening it?

so the floor pan is a big mod? is it mainly everything in front or everything behind? cuz behind doesn't even need to be genuine mitsu, could be custom fab.
