Question high boosting problem???

I just got my fp green turbo the other day with the fp wg and put it all on. but it wont stop boosting it like shoots up to 22 then keeps going but not as fast tell the engine starts pulling timing around 24-25 psi thie is on the stock boost control system and i do have tubular manifold and o2 housing. witch i herd can cause boost creep. but never had that prob with those mods and the stock turbo. the turbo is also ported. herd stories saying if it was not ported it could cause boost creep. have no vacuum leaks, no boost leaks. can anyone suggest anything??? o the wg is set to the high preload setting also. but if i remember right the other day it would boost 20 sometimes then 25 the nxt time i got on it? kinda weird :/

try intsalling a boost controller to controll the boost the wga is set to high boost it might be alittle to tight for the stock boost control system

i have the hollman pro boost controller but disconnected it cause i had it set all the way to the negative and it would still hit 22 and climb. tried hooking it up both ways. going from the wastegate to-- boost controler to-- turbo nipple and waste gate to--- boost controller to--- blow off line and both did same results

If you aren't running 25+ psi then you shouldn't have got the FP WGA. In fact, most people have bad results with the FP WGA and get a significant boost hump. The Forge WGA gets better results.

Anyways, I would revert to a stock WGA if you plan on running low boost (under 25)

The O2 housing isn't helping either, but there is a thread around here somewhere and they confirmed the FP WGA caused this problem

It's the wastegate actuator. Put on the stock one and this problem will go away.

I first posted about this in my review of the FPGreen on my Evo VIII. Do a search if you'd like to see the before/after boost graphs. It's the HP WGA, plain and simple.

As the previous poster said, unless you're going to run 25+psi, don't get the HP WGA.

You can try running a stock IX WGA. This should cure the problem. But first, try loosening (lengthen) the adjustable rod on your FP HD WGA to it's loosest setting. This should get you back down to the 18 PSI minimum of the FP HD actuator.

It's all in the actuator preload.

Here is a green, with FP actuator. Ecu-boost with GM solenoid, 91 octane:

I have a feeling the OP's actuator is adjusted too tight.
