My 03 GSR has been making a Cracking/ popping sound under load in situations like a slow drive away , or during braking. It seems to be coming from the front driverside behind the firewall or maybe around the strut tower. I know these sounds are usually associated with engine mounts be in this case my car has only 27k miles and all the mounts look healthy. I was thinking maybe it was the tranny mount itself around that area. I experiance alot of shift shock between shifts on the car aswell. I have a ACT street disc and a ACT flywheel so some of it may be caused by that. Has anyone ever experienced somthing smilar? Which of these mounts are prone to failure in a moded evo? Can it be suspension related?
