What psi to tune at
My friend has a stock evo 8 and he got tuned at 25 psi. I thought that was pretty high. He dynoed at 305 to the wheels. I have TBE catless, short ram intake and MBC. What should i set my psi at for a tune?

Every car is different. This all depends on octane and the car. I was reading somewhere that someone was boosting at 30psi on pump with the FP Green turbo.
I'm tuned for 23psi on 93 octane. A good tuner will figure your car and map out.

depends on the tuner, whether you have head studs, and the octane - I'm running 93 Oct, ARP Head Studs, and 23psi with a good tune from Ivey - but other tuners might have you run 21psi on 93 Oct; stay away from mail-in's since you're going to want to limit knock count and make SURE you have a Fuel Pump. . .

as far as boost.... it all depends on the tune, you could run 30 pounds if you really wanted to, but then you should expect a slower spool and higher egt = more engine wear / more power.
Typically anywhere from 21-24 pounds depending how aggresive you are with the car, what your goal is and how far you really want to push it.
If you're looking for a conservative tune with rich afr and mild timing theres no point in running higher boost.
If you're not confident with your tuners abilities you should find a new one who you trust.
Cheers!

If you are tuning via eFlash, set your boost at 20psi until you and your tuner are happy with the results and then raise your boost to the desired level, then your tuner can re-adjust your tune for that boost level.

I think im going to go for 22. Im not looking to push crazy power and maybe if i get bored ill go higher. But to stay on the safe side i like the sound of 22. Ill be sure to see what the tuner says though. Thank you guys
