Question 16g turbo problems

First off i own a ralliart but i figured you guys in here would be more likely to answer my question.
I am boosted with a 16g turbo.
This is my problem.
It seems that after installing my turbo kit an some settling occurred it seems that my return line for oil that feeds the turbo got pinched.
This resulted in oil getting by the turbo an into my intake pipe.(to the intake manifold) Car smokes some now.
The problem will be fixed very soon an my question is will this have hurt my turbo?
Can it cause power loss?(car seems a bit laggy lately)
Thanks fellas, this is my first turbo car so im kinda new at this.

It can hurt the turbo do to lack of oil getting to the turbo. It wont have the lubrication or cooling it needs. Id stay out of boost as much as possible until you get it fixed.

Good thing for you a 16g turbo is a dime a dozen and can be picked up for around $100

I agree with the above two statements, it could have possibly caused oil starvation to the turbo. As far as the smoke from the engine its probably just the oil residue making its way out of the engine. Easiest way to see if the turbo is going bad is to check the shaft play on it. If the turbo is the culprit, like they said you can pick up a 16g pretty commonly anymore for very cheap.

Its getting oil. If anything its getting to much lol.
What its doing is backing up in the turbo because the hose going to the oil pan is crimped a bit
After i get a new hose on there i shouldnt have the problem. What i was wondering is with the oil getting by the turbo during that time would it have hurt the turbo?

I highly doubt it had a serious affect on the turbo, as long as you did not starve the turbo of oil there should be no problems. Another thing to think about is if you had oil getting into the intake manifold and into the engine, you may have gummed up the spark plugs a bit. Ultimately until you take things apart or get it fixed its really hard to say.

Yea it can damage the seals, that is why the car was smoking. More than likley your turbo is shot.

Interesting

All i gotta do is swap the hose for a stiffer one so it dont crimp.
I was just worried that by the oil getting by the seals from the pressure will it have hurt it.
Seems i get conflicting answeres

I agree, its getting the oil. Its just getting backed up because it cant get to the pan. For those of you who said its not getting oil......You should shy away from diagnosing peolpes cars.
