I'm thinking bout changing out my induction cover for the Injen intake w/ upper and lower IC pipes. Would i need to retune it?

Hard pipes aren't enough of a difference to justify the cost of a tune. It's a different story with intakes, fuel pumps, injectors, etc.

I have been pondering upgrading my intercooler and piping also. Im just worried that with the stock turbo there will be to much lag.

I think they do with new pipes. I think the laggyness is due to the larger intercooler on a stock turbo.

Im off to search and read more.

I'd invest in the ETS Upper intercooler piping...

no need for a tune with those mods.

New Intercooler Pipes are a good idea. I noticed better spooling characteristics when I switched to AMS Piping. As for upgrading the FMIC I'd be weary about doing that with a stock turbo (or one of equivalent size). People rush to change the FMIC when the stocker is actually pretty good.
