EVO9 JDM rear diffusers finished and ready

I am not going to produce this in carbon fiber, we don't procude anything in carbon fiber. There would be a weight savings if we did but I don't think there would be any other benefit. The cost would be SUBSTANTIALLY higher doing this in carbon fiber, part of it would have to be "molded" too to make the two bends I have, that would add even more to the cost.

David,
Could you describe the result achieved by installing this? I see different types out there so does this one increase downforce, reduce drag, a bit of both? Please elaborate as I'm very interested.

That is his JDM IX rear bumper specific exhaust. The canister is down under the car around where the cat. conv. should be. The result is a clean canister-less look from behind. Only the nice tip is there showing through the bumpers exhaust cut out.

I cannot elaborate actually, not smart enough to. Maybe we can get Indy EVO to chime in on this as he works in a wind tunnel and can give you guys an idea what he thinks the effects may be. I will send him a link.
The idea behind it for me was to keep the air from getting caught up in the rear bumper cover. I have run the rear and not removed it from my car. It was on when the car went 151 mph in the 1/4 on the 35r. I have also sprayed it with light oil and ran it down the road to see the effects of how the air passes over/under it. (Thanks for that recommendation Indy EVO) I can tell you that it seems to work quite well as the oil became nice long streaks down the center of the diffuser. There is obviously some swirling going on behind the tires but not too bad.
