Buschur Racing's black EVO with new dyno record just in time for shootout.
We made a few changes this week. What a freaking difference in power. The car's best dyno ever was 817 whp before today. We have been doing some much needed updates on the car this last week and today we had time to strap it on the dyno.
We only made one pull and that was all we needed to know the car is meaner than ever before. First pull was 890 whp and 560 ft lbs of torque.
This should make for some interesting racing come Saturday at the shootout.
Also keep in mind that when the car only made 734 here on our dyno we took it to a Dynojet and made 903 whp. I am looking forward to our trip back to the Dynojet now, we WILL set the new WHP record for an EVO.
This engine is absolutely amazing as it has been in since spring, see 10,000+ rpm constantly, 50+ psi of boost. Daniel tried to talk me into taking it out and freshening it up for the shootout. My answer was "no". Going to try and run the entire year on the same engine.
For those of you wondering we put another long tube header back on the car like we had before, built a new 5" inlet for the turbo to actually get some cool air to it (previously was sucking air from directly behind the radiator) eliminated the lower i/c pipe. The engine is still our standard Stage 3 with aluminum rods, a STOCK BORE 2 liter and is STILL A WET block, it is NOT hardblocked. The cylinder head is our standard Stage 3. Camshafts are BF272's on stock gears dialed in at ZERO. The FMIC is our Race with a different inlet side end tank on it so we could plumb the turbo directly into it.
With the aero changes to the car and this new power level it should be just rediculous.
