Most 2.3l with a gt35r on pump safely make 450whp...I'd go with the AMS intake...all the ballers run this manifold and say there is no better!!...I think as long as you go this a good company(AMS,Buschur,Turbotrix, ect.) you can't go wrong...I know its not an EVO but my girls 96 GSX made just over 600whp on pump meth with a 2.3l and a gt3582r.. ..pump gas can only take you so far but from a roll the 2.3 and gt35r can't be beat...

yeah JAM looks to be the route im going.everyone has AMS 2.3L and Head etc,so wanna do something a little different.
this will be the oliver rods wiseco piston set up.
ill most likely get the head...i dont trust any shops in hawaii to port it,angle jobs etc.
and possibly get a HTA3582R
500 on pump 650 race

send a shout over to Chad at CBRD. They have a JAM 2.3, JAM head, 35r .63 hotside, now with a Blouch modified gt67 wheel. They made awesome power with that set up. Like 499.xxwhp on there mustang dyno. They have a low reading one aswell. Playing the conversion game that would be very high 500s on a DJ

JAM stage II 2.3L(wiseco/oliver set up)
JAM stage IV head
GT3582HTA turbo swap
AMS intake manifold
AMS race FMIC
Dual FullBlown pumps
C.O.P bushcur ignition
upgrade to a 3.5in exhaust
this i beleive will be my unbeatable Daily Driven street car.

This thread is a disaster.
The horsepower your after has no real effect from displacement. Power comes from airflow per rev. While a stroker can give you 15% more displacement it is still limmited to rpm range.
Peak output is still going to be limited by the max airflow of the turbo. I say pick the turbo that best suits your needs then build a motor around that.

I would shread the 35R and run a 2.3 37R, if you build the stroker right, you should have no problems keeping that fun on the street.....
That is the setup I am after right now. 2.3 with a 37R and with a right combo you should be able to take that to 8500 - 9,000 rpms. I was going to 8500 on my ams 2.3 stroker with a 50 trim and was at 500 whp!!!
AMS VSR INTAKE, NONE BETTER!!!!!! ESPECIALLY FOR YOUR POWER LEVEL AND IT WILL GIVE YOU A HUGE POWER GAIN......
You could always keep your 35R and look at AMS time attack car, mid 10's and handling up the wazoooooooo and they have 500's whp and then 620 whp on kill mode (lol).

Call Carmella at JAM and discuss your options....you'll be surprised at your conversation as it relates to other "builders". With Chad at CBRD just a short drive away, I think your choice will become quite apparent
