Can sum1 Explain ETS H Cover Turbo Kit ?
Still looking into a turbo kit and i heard people tell me to go with obviously ETS or Buschur so your not paying for a name. So looking at their kits i found their 35r kit but what exactly is their H Cover kit and what can you come to expect from it on a stock block ?

No on the site its H Cover. Heres the link::http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/M...duct_info.html
Im just wondering because if this turbo is capable of putting out more then the 35R with as good spool times i would much rather just buy something once than having to go bigger later on. Im wondering if its a 42R compressor housing and different choices of turbine housings to help lower spool times ? Im not exactly sure so i was wondering if anyone else had any idea ?

The cover letter defines the inlet and outlet diameters here's a couple common ones.
S cover has a 4" inlet with a 2.5" outlet
H cover has a 4" inlet with a 3" outlet
As a side note my understanding of this junk is very limited.

Sorry I didn't see this thread about two weeks ago, but still wanted to get you the information! The H Cover kits are designed for very high horsepower EVOs with keeping the power steering, air conditioning and stock radiator in mind. There are lots of guys not wanting to strip their engine bay just to run a big turbo, and this kit meets that need. The smallest turbocharger that can be used with this kit is a 63mm so if your plans are for stock internals, the H cover platform isn't the best choice. The T3 kits will offer much better response for up to 700whp applications, which is a power level that will exceed the safe operating power range of the factory rods and cracking threshold of the stock pistons under any amount of knock with that much power. According to Precision, the PT74 in their T4 tangential turbine housing (the one we use in these kits) will be more responsive than an equally equipped GT42R car. You will give up 30-50whp at the very top end, but that will only come into play past 1000whp.
And RoadSpike, you are exactly correct on the dimensions of the covers. The S cover is limited to a 67mm wheel whereas the H cover will accept compressor wheels up to 76mm in size which is the benefit of the larger cover.
