Just installed my earthing kit
I made my own kit and all i have to say WOW!
The idle is much much better, and it pulls harder throughout the power band especially up top
installation was easy and i spent about 26 bucks
i used 12 feet of 4 guage wire and 14 gold connectors
i recommend this to everyone!

I've used them on my last 3 cars and never noticed any difference. Maybe you had a bad ground to begin with? At least you made your own kit rather then buying one.

I just did my own also. Only I used 8ft of 4 gauge and 10 connectors. I can't imagine needing 12ft. You ground in 6 different spots? My installation turned out really good. I think it pulls harder in the higher rpm's but my isle was fine before the install..so no changes with that.

for the people too lazy to make them. I make them and sell them for 40.00 shipped.
here is a grounding kit on a Lancer.
here are the ground wire kits i am selling. They are universal and should fit most compact cars. 4 gauge wire high strand count, this is Wire that is Made in the USA, not cheap wire made in china, or tiwan, Crimped with gold plated ring terminals and covered with rubber boots, Oxygen Free Cable. 40.00 shipped
5 wires inclued in all kits.
Please indicate car model, and color wire needed. 40.00 shipped

The lenghts are the same as the sun auto hyper ground system.

$40 isn't bad. If you don't have a good cutter, crimper and soldering iron, this is the next best thing. If you have these tools see my post in this forum. I paid $20 for my parts.

heres how i grounded mine
i used about 12 feet of 4 guage wire and gold connectors
i have 4 cables connected to the battery terminal
I have
1. a wire running to body right beside the air box and in fornt of the fuse box. There are already a few grounds there. I also removed the paint between them
2. i have a wire running to the firewall were the strut bar connects. I used the driver's side bolt. From the bolt i ran a wire down to the intake manifold were there is an existing ground. This is a small ***** wire.
3. i have a wire running to the back lifting eyelet connected to the block. Its that little metal piece with the holes in it. From that i ran a wire to the top mounting bolt of the alternator. You can loosen this bolt without taking hte belt of and dont worry about the alternator moving.
4. (This one is optional i just did it for the hell of it) i ran a wire to the left side were the strut bar is bolted to the strut
Also on the number 3 wire i ran a wire from the back lifting eyelet to the front one.
I ran those two extra wires just because i had some extra wire but i figured that it didnt hurt
i have a total of seven wires and seven grounding points
basically this is my grounding path
alternator -> engine block-> battery -> to the strut bar and body -> and back to the alternator via intake manifold

$1 per foot and 1$ per connector
like i said
the fourth wire you probably wouldnt need
without that wire i would have maybe 2 1/2 extra feet
