Couple of things, smoked:
1. high oil consumption is _not_ normal for a built/stroked engine. It may use more oil than stock, but it should get nowhere near the 1qt/500 mile mark. I had a similar issue on my car when the block was built and it turned out to be a couple of valves going bad. Replaced the head and all has been well since.
Do you (and all other drivers of the car) let the engine warm-up before you drive it?
2. you might want to think about re-installing a good oil catch can on _both_ sides of the stock PCV setup. Saiko-Kun makes a very nice dual catch can. Highly recommended to keep all the crud out of your intake manifold.
3. You really should consider taking the car somewhere where they can fix and tune it all in one shot. IMO it's when you start to piece things together from different sources and have different shops working on the car that things start to go downhill.
Good luck, man.

Heptane is C7H16, Octane is C8H18, and Toluene is C6CH3; so I'm guessing C6C6CH3 is some sort of very useful hydrocarbon. Either that, or he owns two 2006 Corvettes and three cargo helicopters.
