Ill do that. If the plugs are good, I'm going to double check the plug gap. I don't remember what the gap should be, what do you guys recommend for 92 octane? The cars mods are on the original thread.

I cleared the ecu by disconnecting the battery overnight. Drove the car for about 30 miles normally and the CEL was off. When I got to the autoparts store to make sure that there are no codes stored on the ecu, but once I plugged the code reader to the car, the CEL turned back on.

i had similar problem and solve it by decreased some timings around the idle and low load area (500-3000 rpm and 30-80 load). You'll need ecuflash or some one know ecuflash and datalog to do it.
First, decrease about 3-5 timings to make sure it's actually solve your problem. If it is then go back and start decreasing 1 timing as a time until you find the minimal timings decreased that solve your problem. Usually, the timing was increase to make the cams idle better but for my case it thrown the p0300 occasionally when idle or driving normal.
Also, open the cam gear cover and make sure it's line up perfectly (the marks are centered). For my friend case, it was off a little and caused the p0300 on his.
I'm not sure it's the same for your problem but hope it help.

your goign to have to put t stock cat on, or delete to codes, but codes will not stay deleted foreer, so your better off putting the ctoc cat on fot the smog check, i had the same problem, i just put the cat on.

You can't erase the codes by disconnecting the battery, just because the light for the code isn't on doesn't mean it isn't stored. You have to use the code reader to erase them. Put some new plugs and erase the codes and lets see what happens before you try something else.

Lol it was my OLD car that I sold to him, and he's deployed so I'm fixing it for him. As far as the CEL turning on, it seems that it turns on at idle and normal driving. I still keep thinking it's my car since I did all the mods to it and I drive it more than I drive my RS. =)

Trust me. Put the stock exhaust back on.
Buy a code clearer and clear the codes right before you give the emissions guy your car. It was what worked for me. I failed 8 times, 16 dyno test. Sucked. Passed finally.
