Bingo! $10 says it is upside down. It goes in looking right and if you do not pay atttention it can easily be installed upside down. First thing to do is get a code reader and see if there is a soft code for the crank angle sensor. Believe it or not it will not throw a check engine light but it will show up with a scanner. Unforuntalty I know from personal experience right after I built my engine too. After I turned it around, it fired on the first try.

it might be the crank sensor but most likely something else as he is not getting any spark and probably gets fuel check over all the wires and fuses

I had the same problem. The mitsu mechanics pinched a wire off the CAS when they installed my stroker motor. I was there and the same things you did, they did. They found it, re-soldered it, and all is great. A wire by the cam cover down low. I have a thread on this, I can't find it now, time for bed. That is your problem, pretty sure.

If you install the crank angle sensor upside down will it even clear the plate? I don't think it will honestly.

I found your thread and I was actually gonna check the wire tomorrow. everything is plugged up and i dont think you can put the cam angle sensor on upside down it doesnt look like it can go any other way

Make sure the cutout cylinder which connects to the exhaust cam and spins in the cam angle sensor housing is oriented properly. If it's not the car won't start.

It absolutly will clear the plate and bolt up looking totally factory except that the pickup is facing the wrong way. Trust me on this one. I was stupid enough to do it and this is why my car did not start.

Man that sucks, I had no idea it would even clear. Hopefully this isn't his issue, its a cheap fix but takes some time to get back too it.

Check the cam angle sensor first. It's easier.

Hell yes it will!

I found this out the hard way. Only took me two hours to dig my way back in there and flip it over but it can be a PIA to redo.

If it's the crank sensor you might get a brake light with brake off. Do you?
