Bingo! $10 says it is upside down. It goes in looking right and if you do not pay atttention it can easily be installed upside down. First thing to do is get a code reader and see if there is a soft code for the crank angle sensor. Believe it or not it will not throw a check engine light but it will show up with a scanner. Unforuntalty I know from personal experience right after I built my engine too. After I turned it around, it fired on the first try.

I had the same problem. The mitsu mechanics pinched a wire off the CAS when they installed my stroker motor. I was there and the same things you did, they did. They found it, re-soldered it, and all is great. A wire by the cam cover down low. I have a thread on this, I can't find it now, time for bed. That is your problem, pretty sure.
