Car wont start after motor went back in

Im having issues with getting my car started after I put the motor back in. When i did the timing I made sure all the marks were lined up. I thought the problem was the timing, but now i don't think im getting any spark. I tried to test the spark by putting a screw driver in the plug wire and seeing if it sparked and I didn't see anything. Anybody have any idea whats going on with my car?

well are you sure its the same ecu as before?
also, when i first tried to get my car running, i mistakenly had the timing set at the marks similar to the dsm motor (the marks facing each other). well it took me a week to figure out that the timing marks have to line up with the valve cover notches.

You might have already done it, but did you check the fuses in the engine bay? I had a problem like this and it ended up being the rear O2 sensor that was shorted. But since those fuses control many sensors it would be good to check them as it might give you a clue. What about the crank position sensor? Is everything hooked up?

Maybe hook up to it w/ a scantool and see if you have any trouble codes. Might point you in the direction of something that might be unplugged.

Your screw driver would need to be grounded to the block, if you are just holding it in the air it will not spark, unless it finds your finger, then you'll know. Also, check your fuel/ pump. Need more info.? Peace.

Sounds to me like the immobilizer in the ecu. Had the same problem when I pulled my engine. My car tried to turn over, I was not getting fuel or spark. Try to flash ecu with immobilizer turned off. Worked for me.
