350whp with good driveability (Parts list inside)

Hey guys. I am a long time browser but this is my first post. Anyway, I have a 06 MR and have been pondering on whether I should mod my car or not. Well I am looking for around 350whp and have come to the following conclusion on mods. This is from all the information I have gathered from this website (Thank You). Anyway it has come down to the following 2 options, please tell me what you think.

Option 1:

Buschur Pure Power Upgrade ($2200)

Option 2:

HKS Hi Power Exhaust Catback
Downpipe (Not sure what brand due to ACD clearance issues, any help would be great)
255LPH Fuel Pump
BR Intake and Filter
Joe P Manual Boost Controller
HKS 272 Cams
Timing Belt and Tensioner
BR Flash or Custom Tune at Topspeed performance in Atlanta

Which one would you guys choose or how would you change what I have listed. Any help would be appreciated. I am basically looking for as reliable as you can get 350whp. Thank you once again.

Bushur TBE
Ebay o2
Buschur Deluxe fmic and licp
Boost controller
Buschur Filter
custom tune
255lph be good for safety

That should put you at 350whp on a dynojet with a good tune.

walbro 255
TBE
MBC
Cams no bigger than 272 for your power goals
K&N Drop-in filter
Tune

No need for an upgraded intercooler or intake for that power level

what's stopping your from modifying? EVO takes mod well as long as the tune is reliable. 350whp is very reliable on evo. you don't even need cams for IX to achieve 350 whp. The second option is the way to go. Most of the downpipe will clear ACD now, espelir, buschur. Get greddy catback, 80mm in diameter VS HKS 76mm in diameter. As far as tune goes, I recommend "4wheelslide", he is very good and will get back to you fast.

I disagree. I think a good fmic will be more beneficial then cams on a 9. Ideally both would be good, but I would take the fmic first.

take a look at my mods, and from what u stated before, cams are def a better investment then the fmic, u really dont need the bigger fmic until a turbo upgrade, i just put mine on their b/c i had the extra money at the time and i plan on a bigger turbo near spring,
w/ a turboback ,mbc, br fliter, walbro 255, i put down 317whp at the shop dyno, when i added the licp, uicp, fmic and cams to that i went up to 34X, but that was at the ics dyno, i dunno the comparison but i think the ics dyno reads a lil lower.

Another option is the WORKS TR-340 package.
http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...products_id=66

and add the WORKS HFC
http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...roducts_id=119

You'll be just over 350WHP with amazing drivability and reliability.

Only problem with WORKS stuff is that it's a little more expensive, but is extremely good quality.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I am very fond of the Joe P boost controllers because I have used them on my supras and honestly I can't find a better boost controller (as far as basic boost controllers go). The reason why I am hesitant to mod my car is because of warranty issues. I really like having a warranty in case something breaks then it won't come out of pocket. Anyway, who would you reccomend as a tune? Topspeed is the only shop I know of in Atlanta that does AWD tuning. If there is a better place then I am all for it. Thanks again for all the responses.

Yeah i agree on the joe p. mbc's they are best (imo) as well.....

I even purchased the new inline mbc from a vendor on here to see how it did because it was getting rave reviews. I did back to back testing and there was no difference and my joe p. just seemed to respond better.

So I sold it and put my 6 year old ugly brass joe p back on

You look like you are on the right track. My only word of advice is, if dynoflash is the person fashing your ECU....stayaway!

Do the Buschur upgrade, you cant go wrong with 18 yeas of experince

I agree with Nuked... do the FMIC before cams. Change the deluxe cooler and get the race core.

I went 11.71 at 118.96mph with stock cams. And tuned 295whp on Buschurs dyno.

As for the MBC, get the Buschr inline. I beleive its been tested from 16 to 50+ psi, and has trapped the highest MPH Evo.
