HTA35R-700whp/646ft lbs......Buschur RS

So, I was bored today. Waiting to see if the track is going to open or not this weekend to run the car one more time.

I called Switzer's down the road from us and asked if I could get on his Dynojet.

Trent and I went over to see what the car would do on his dyno.

First pull the car was rediculously rich. I have the car set up on our dyno and on the track to run 11.5:1 AFR's. The car was 10.4:1 on the Dynojet. Boost was also only 37-38 psi.

I didn't want to re-tune the car so I just turned the 02 feedback on throughout the entire RPM range and boost, set it at 11.5:1 and then turned the boost up.

With 40 psi of boost, AFR's at 11.4:1 we got some results.

With SAE correction on, which was 1.00 (no correction), smoothing on 3 the car made 700.47 whp and 646.46 ft lbs of torque.

Peak Hp was at 5700 rpm and peak torque was at 5600 rpm.

I thought the video camera was in the car, when I got there it was not..........pissed off no video.

Dyno chart we won't post until Monday. I have it here but Jarrod does the scanning and hosting of them and he was on vacation today.

For a reminder, on our dyno the car made 661 whp and 579 ft lbs of torque.

Not a huge difference this time in power but I spent no time getting the tune right on for the Dynojet either.

So you can now only add 5.5 percent to come up with your dynojet numbers.... from now on.

On the upside, you still have a 700whp 35R'd evo. Good job!

Very nice #s David but do you have a Dyno sheet? The TQ seems a little high for a 2.0

As long as I hold a time slip for 9.7 at 148 with a 35r I don't care about adding anything to my numbers..............

The last time my RS was on this particular dyno the numbers didn't increase a ton either, on the other hand on the same day our black car did go up 20%.

Like I said, Jarrod has to scan the dyno sheet to post it and he was on vacation today.

Remember it made 661/579 on OUR dyno last week.

I think it's been said before that this particular Dynojet was calibrated to read nearly the same as your Mustang. It seems that the recent thread about a Switzer tuned car mentioned that fact. There must be a real secret that DB's still hiding concerning the whp/wtq. The finger nails are the last to go. See you next Monday.

AFAIK, Dynojets cannot be 'recalibrated' to read differently. The loading however is less on a Dynojet than it typically is with an eddy current dyno, and this can affect the disparity in the numbers.

Good numbers for a 35R, but I have a simple question: If the compressor wheel and housing are different (don't know particulars about the turbine side), just how much of this turbo is actually "35R"? It seems to me that it's about as much a "35R" as an FP Green is a "16G". . . ?

Lastly, the big torque figure is a product of reaching max boost pressure fairly early in the rpm range, coupled with things like stock-sized intake manifold, cam characteristics, etc.

I think the point here is that it spools SOONER than a standard GT35r, makes more power UNDER the curve, and makes more PEAK power -----> triple threat!
