its a stock turbo. you can get full boost during partial throttle (70-80% tps)

Call Buschur
Piston walls look normal IMO could just be this monitor, but bearing problems would not cause piston slap just rod knock. Now if piston rings failed or improper piston to wall clearance then you would have an issue with piston slap. I am sure he will be back stronger though. Most people do.

Ok I guess we have a diff opinion of part throttle, I was thinking more like 30% - 40% which is what I consider part throttle, I would say 70 - 80% full throttle, just the tps hasnt completely touched full voltage yet. But whatever the case, cant wait to see the new build. So do you know if it was due to meth failure or have your alarms ever failed you before?

not due to meth failure. i dont believe it was detenation.

well the alarm did go off for a second during the 3k rpm range because i was still dialing in my tune. the AFR hit around 12.1 and then went back down to 11.5-11.6. earlier on the night, i was seeing the meth sraying at 108 psi.

All it takes is a second, but did you start to hear engine knock first and kept driving on it or did all that devastation happen in the blink of an eye.

You could have knocked days prior causing enough wear to to go catastrophic at any time under normal operation. Kinda like the San Andreaus fault line.

Looks like your set well for a better replacment nontheless

The thing is i was expecting this motor to go out soon, ie. spun bearing or streched rod bolts, but not like this. I beat the crap out of my car daily and i am happy it lasted this long. what really killed me was the head.

looks like it all started with the piston that was split in half or shattered in half. it corresponds with the hole in the block causing the catostrophic failure. one piece gets lodged into another and WhaMo!!! your engine just threw up its dinner....bluagh...

also, look at the head again..ALL the exhaust valves are done-except the one with the half piston. cant tell by the pic if the chamber was touched on that same cylinder. not one intake valve is broken...interesting.

good luck on the new build
