For what it's worth, I have had a Type S, it's no longer on my car. You don't need an upgraded valve. I don't know why you bought one.
It was really weird and according to someone here on the forums its was probably due to the combination of my intake and the DV, but with the Forge i have no issues except the flutter and jerking under partial throttle.

The issue i was having with the IX DV was it was dropping idle when coming to stop. I didnt even have to be boosting before i stop just coming to stop and the idle would drop. Im going to be trying a friends IX DV for a day and see if that one works better.
