I actually learned a few things reading this.

I had the same idle problem and it turned out to be a boost leak. Hopefully your problem will be as simple as mine was to correct.

Would a boost leak cause this problem?

I would do a bost leak - pressurized bost system test on any modified evo as a matter of regular maintenance. A huge proportion of evos have boost leaks of some sort. The only way to find them is with a pressure test.

LM1 wideband sensors go bad

You MAY have a bad sensor - buy a spare sensor - they are cheap - and see what effect that has

# 3

exhuast leaks and exhuast manifold leaks can throw off 02 readings - make sure you have no pin hole leaks in the exhuast

I know with the AEM wideband, you need to order a replacement from them...

Try their new firmware then do a free air calibration before you spend the money on the new O2. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/s...re/lc1v110.dld

Exhaust leak upstream sensor will make it lean at idle but that would be more consistant of a problem. Ground offsets can make screw up like it's doing.

When we installed mine we had to make sure we had the proper voltage, and ground. I think it is an electrical problem by not getting proper voltage, try moving the wiring around to a better hot lead and ground to solid connection.
