Tom, some how I believe you. You've got a great looking manifold, inside and out. Did you notice how I mounted the JDM map sensor. Directly under the TB on the engine side. I open and re-wrapped the wiring harness so I could leave the fuel pressure regulator on the passenger side and still move the rest of the harness to the drivers side and under the manifold. Worked out nice and neat. I still have to get a solution for the PCV, but thats just a catch can. I didn't want to recirculate it into the manifold.

Thanks vw, it does look really clean. Tom at DI has done a great job. If the manifold runners were any longer, you'd have to hammer the firewall to get it in, but it is absolutely the longest possible and still clear the intake studs on the head. I really look forward to firing it up and starting the tune. Just too tired tonight.
I seen one on hand a few weeks ago at BR and DAMN that manifold is seeexy
I will keep up on these thread again to see how it fairs out man, good luck to both of you

but seriously, congrats on the new intake, I can't wait to see the results after some tuning! I have some other things to do first but a better intake mani is on my list so I appreciate you leading the way on this with the stock ecu/mas

Oh yeah, by the way, Thanks to David Buschur for doing the manifold tests, FMIC tests and getting me my DI manifold and custom FMIC. Without your testing, I would have still been using the old parts and making less horsepower. I owe you a case of Guinness.

No kidding! I never expected THAT much difference. I even called DB in a panic. He calmed my nerves and simply told me it was real. I thought for sure the larger Meth injector would take care of it. Now, it's time to dial it back in.
DB, instead of buying you all of the beer I owe, I'm just going to have the Beer truck park out front for a month, how's that.

yep, that's a good problem to have, sounds like you're going to have a nice bump in power once you get the fuel/timing dialed back in...I imagine you're touching some new load columns too.

Figured out a way to go above 380 yet on the 2-byte loads? Hopefully it will hold it there for a while longer before coming down. I still have the 101 in it right now. I've got to finish this tune up so I can move on to the Import tune.

Just to prove that I do actually work on the cars myself. Two laptops, one for logging and tuning, one to access EvoM.
Don't tell Daniel Buschur, but his brakes are in the Alaska Salmon/Halibut box.
