2 questions about the Ti rods. A while ago, maybe 5 years there were issues with Ti rods and them needing brass inserts to keep them from catching on the piston pins. Is this no longer a problem? Also, what are the longevity issues with these? Horsepower limits ect... Thanks

I have never had a issue with any Carrillo rod in any engine I have built. The small end is bushed, the pins are DLC coated, and they will last forever in my application. I want the short block to be as strong as possible for future upgrades.

I flipped for you. The coin stood on edge, so I guess that means you buy me the Ti rods and you get to keep a set of Aluminum's for yourself. Sorry, but that's really what happened....really.

I thought the same thing one time, so I burned mine first, then found out the other guy's 'stuff' was all on credit. Looks are deceiving. Why do you think I wear worn out Levi 501's and T-shirts? A good day for me is when I find a pair of 501's in my closet that don't have grease stains. A great day for me is when I get a new pair for Christmas.

Same here, I have to look hard in the closet for something that has nothing to do with my clients, Impact Racing or Buschur on it. You get new ones? you lucky dog. All I get is a lump of coal, but if you squeeze it tight enough you get a diamond.

You guys want Ti rods... use http://www.cunninghamrods.com/.

IMO they are the best rods money can buy in steel or Ti. They feature 296,000 PSI, made from AISI H11 tool steel.

When I got a quote for Ti rods in my VR6 they were $2500.00, I know a 4g has to be cheaper

If I have a problem with my aluminum rods, I was just thinking the other day I will to use these in my next engine weather he likes it or not

I have these rods in my VR6T and I think they are great!

9sec9 thanks again for your time yesterday it was great of you to share your info with me. The part we were talking about, I started the sketches this morning. I couldn't sleep, I just kept thinking about it. It will happen, I will build at least 3 to do some R&D and you will get one. Thanks again. Indy
