Well 9sec9 David got my Baby Bish clone starter kit together it's on Jarrod's desk shipping Monday. Waiting on the specs for the titanium rods from Carrillo, small and big end weights, and David has the other stuff in stock so all I need to get is a new block, crank and some other stuff David wants and then I will have a short block soon. The head will be done at the end of the May from getting CNC'd, just doing final touches before it gets cut. Looking to finish it before I retire and move this year. Here it is behind the cheese ***** https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=341066&page=8 post #112 Thanks for all of you help with the"inside" info it has been priceless. Indy

I have never had a issue with any Carrillo rod in any engine I have built. The small end is bushed, the pins are DLC coated, and they will last forever in my application. I want the short block to be as strong as possible for future upgrades.

I thought the same thing one time, so I burned mine first, then found out the other guy's 'stuff' was all on credit. Looks are deceiving. Why do you think I wear worn out Levi 501's and T-shirts? A good day for me is when I find a pair of 501's in my closet that don't have grease stains. A great day for me is when I get a new pair for Christmas.

Same here, I have to look hard in the closet for something that has nothing to do with my clients, Impact Racing or Buschur on it. You get new ones? you lucky dog. All I get is a lump of coal, but if you squeeze it tight enough you get a diamond.

You guys want Ti rods... use http://www.cunninghamrods.com/.
IMO they are the best rods money can buy in steel or Ti. They feature 296,000 PSI, made from AISI H11 tool steel.
When I got a quote for Ti rods in my VR6 they were $2500.00, I know a 4g has to be cheaper
If I have a problem with my aluminum rods, I was just thinking the other day I will to use these in my next engine weather he likes it or not
I have these rods in my VR6T and I think they are great!

9sec9 thanks again for your time yesterday it was great of you to share your info with me. The part we were talking about, I started the sketches this morning. I couldn't sleep, I just kept thinking about it. It will happen, I will build at least 3 to do some R&D and you will get one. Thanks again. Indy
