crcain, 9sec9 is on the road but he wanted me to relay the message that on spool up there was minor knock detected so he pulled timing to deter any further knock. Knock was not detected at peak torque but he didnt want it too. What he does is pulls the timing before the knock and not at the knock point. Hope this helps im just relaying his message. He's the brains behind it all. Im just the owner/driver.
I wonder if indeed the knock your pops saw was actually knock. I don't know how far to trust the stock knock sensor. I'll pester 9sec9 when he actually gets home
Must be great to share all this car stuff with your Dad.

hks-evo, sorry I missed the 30psi part. I think the 30 psi will be fine for the turbo, it's whether the tune and other parts are up to the task. The boosted air is going to be hotter at 30psi and at the wrong time/load levels, knock will probably rear it's ugly head. Do it all, or stay lower on the boost. 27-28 would be much safer with most tunes.

I have not posted the maps, I won't be doing anything until I get back to the office, off of the road. But I will give you some ideas. Water/Meth ratio is 20/80 by volume. The peak boost is 37psi, the peak torque timing at 3500-4000 (with rescaling to 450) is 16 degrees and 8000 rpm 320 cell is 30 degrees. The car has no knock, except on initial ramp up, and he max knock I saw (possibly because of starting the pull a little too low, about 2650 WOT in 4th) was 6 and falling immediately to 0. Nothing midrange and up. I can also tell you the AFR varied from 12.2 on spool up to 11.7 on top. Again, the tune is basically knock free. Final pulls I think showed 1 or 2 count on spool up, again I noticed that it only occured if I started a little early.
This is AWESOME! Thanks for sharing all the numbers!

Keep in mind VP import is about 4x, if not more, than the cost of normal pump gas. Sure you can daily drive it, but it's going to cost you.
This is by no means a bash on the car whatsoever, just a little bit of reality for some people. People call me crazy because I use 100oct 24/7

DB should post how much $$ to get from a stage IV to what the Okix car is. It is something I would consider buying. I know it needs a stage 3 block and head. Whats the cost on those together and what else is needed beside the Jun cams? That is a sick package, lets call it a stage IX...

I think it would be interesting to see a dyno sheet comparing DB's car with this car. Both cars have their respective turbos maxed out, should be a good indication of the strengths and weaknesses of each one.
