Trent-
I gotta ask this from my own experience but knowing you're driving a 9 second car, do you EVER get the left leg jitters when pulling up to or sitting at the tree? Every time I drag race, the adrenaline kills my left leg...
Just curious...

ifarted2: As can be seen in the video...... the car was NOT ran at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park (Formerly Norwalk Raceway Park) which is an NHRA track located 10min from us. It states in the video description where the car was ran.

It's a good thing for 100+ cars that come to the shootout each year that aren't legal that we can get around these rules a few times a year. I'd hate to see 100 guys having to add cages to their cars to run the shootout. I'm quite sure there has to be 100 guys running under 11.49 at the event that don't have cages.
I get a charge out of guys who have fits over someone not having a cage or rollbar, the reason I get a kick out of this is if I take the time to look over cars I can find something that would keep the out of an event. The rule book is so strict once you start going fast that there are very few cars that would pass if you looked them over strictly.
I went through all this stuff with the tube chassis cars we ran, cages, scatter shields, ground straps, tubing diameter and wall thickness, drive shaft loops, safety gear................most of it is BS in my opinion. It keeps the sponsors making money because they enforce expiration dates on window nets and seat belts..........

badass car dave, really nice! mind if i ask about your boost control setup? i saw something under the hood but i really couldent make it out, it almost looked like a manual and selenoid setup, what type of selenoid is that?
