Downpipe problems
#17
Also, I got on the phone with the people who cut our flanges and had them slightly enlarge the opening so this minor problem should never arise again! We are also going to have the bottom portion of the 02 housing taped off from now on so that the the portion which goes inside the downpipe will not be coated. Exterior wise of course. I think it is more to do with the coating but, either way we go it taken care of.

Im sure if you have to, grinding the flange a little to get it to clear will be ok... I know when i was on the stock turbo i didn't run a gasket at all with the stock, or aftermarket o2 housing to the downpipe.... Didn't leak one bit!

thats great customer service. them actually trying out the parts themselves and trial and erroring the problem. anyways ive also heard that the 2.5 inch dp doesnt fit that o2 housing. id have to say i agree with nick on the issue. take a little coating off the o2 housing to fit it or try using a rubber mallet or hammer to tap it into place. good luck.
