Oh, another question, did you install the valve with the little hose facing up or sideways? The side where it has the Forge Logo.....

If you have the blue spring, then go with the green.
Green is working great on mine with stock boost.

It doesn't matter how you put the valve on but the ideal way is with the vacuum barb on it's side, not facing up. This puts the valve face towards the boost pressure, which will help open the valve.
You are getting 2 woosh sounds and not a squeaking noise with the woosh right?
There is another thread on here that talks about the springs that Forge is involved in.

Timzcat: When you say vacuum barb, do you mean the little hose one?

I have ordered me the spring kit from Forge, I will try your advice and pop in the green....

Right now I am having two whooshes and it sounds awful. I don't get the squeak you're talking about though.....Hopefully a softer spring will make the second whoosh go away and have just one big smooth whoosh......

Yes, where the vacuum hose goes.
If you just got it recently, it probably has the blue spring in it.
In the future they are planning on adjusting the price and giving everyone the spring and shim kit.

It should have an adjustmnet screw on it, normally out softens the spring tension.

your spring is too tight, if it is too tight it will flutter, if it doesnt make a sound its too tight

i currently own a 2g dsm that runs low 13's at a mile high and i also drive a evo 7 gsr, and i have a blitz bov on both and it makes all different kinds of noises. this is simply becuase the spring is set at one rate and you are boosting different levels at different times. so when you let off the gas at different times the boost may not be strong enough to fully open the valve hence the fluttering sound.

From Blue and lighter it takes 10 in Hg to move the piston. This is less then the stock Bov. The valve should open with out much trouble. This valve only uses boost as an asist really but it will actually operate installed either way.
