CV boot torn, need help

CV boot torn, need help

Had a clutch installed this weekend, and found cv boot is torn, but cant seem to find how to change and where to find a boot on-line, havent yet called any local part stores. Any input would help..

I don't know which boot you need, inner or outer, but if I remember right, to replace the outer boot you first must remove the inner boot. So, if doing the outer you need both.

Also, you will need a special pliers for doing the clamps.

Get the axle out. It is not hard and bring it to a local driveshaft shop. There is one in almost every town. The fix should cost about $25.
