My buddy overfilled his oil a few times and ran at the strip, did some road pulls, etc and nothing happened. I wouldn't recommend overfilling oil, but I wouldn't have a nervous breakdown over it either.

I accidentally added a quart too much, but my **** self checks the oil level 4x before starting, so I caught it.

Since I have a fumoto valve, I just jacked it back up, drained out a quart, and problem solved.

None and none! It comes with a good quality crush washer. It's made of brass too. The "open" lever locks in the "closed" position.

I believe that if you track the car it would be better to be a little over then a little low. You dont want to be half a quart low when oil is sloshing and you're making a hard right into a corner.

Do any of you add extra oil for track days? Wouldn't high G right hand turns be an issue with oil moving to the other side of the block?

I always make sure my oil level is at the high mark when going to the track. When I'm not at the track I just leave it between low and high.

Well now im all paranoid. I changed my oil and filter about 1000 miles ago and just dumped a full 5 qt jug of MB1 into it. On the dipstick the oil level reads like 1/8 of an inch above the high/full notch on the stick. I read that these engines use a little bit so i didnt even give it a second thought when i looked at it. My engine hasnt used so much as even a drop in the last 1000 miles so it still reads like 1/8 of an inch above the high notch.

You'll be fine. Not all of us burn off oil. I dont recall ever having to add extra oil because it burned off between oil changes on my evo.

Did you run the engine for alil bit then check the dipstick? Remember that oil has to circulate through alot of things. The level will change after you run it for alil bit.

It didnt bother me till i read this thread. I think its ok tho. And yes, i have checked the oil level multiple times after the initial change. It doesnt move at all. Always the same.
