I just got it running on the dyno - man what an engine
I was breaking it in with some pump gas 93 octane and figured WTF I would try and see how much power it could make before it started to knock badly and put the knock sensor settings on very tight
I was shocked to make 788 with ease at just touching 40 psi
This sheet is compared to my old engine with a smaller turbo wheel and back housing at 54 psi
Thanks to David Buschur For a great engine and for the inspiration to make big power on p[ump gas!

Not a record unless the thing can actually run for more than one pull!
It seems to me it's not cylinder pressures which cause knock. Because as you step up to bigger turbos, you are able to make more and more power. And more power = more cylinder pressure?
So I can only assume it's the compressor efficiency and maybe more importantly the larger turbine housing? Perhaps exhaust back pressure is a big contributor to knock?

Impressive work AL.
Will you be running oxygenated or leaded in the future, or just pump ?
knock is much less an issue on robust parts that aren't stock. Backpressure doesnt really cause knock it causes preignition which can be an issue on forged parts

Here are some pics of the final product
I am very proud of my winter project as it went directly from its service bay to the dyno without a leak or drip
Now its time to refine all the loose ends and head to the track
