Oh its avalailable bro

Its funny the announcer says

"Big Al just laid a thermo nuclear bomb on the end of the track"

It was funny how the track manager comes over and hands me my piston which was lying on the track

I was just super happy to have

1 - Beaten Slovier ortega's personal Ev 8 driver by Pastry Paul of Turbo trixs in the round (even though my car was seriously hadicaped)

and

2 - Able to stop the car in the giant oil slick and drift into the break down lanes and most importantly the broken rod and piston parts did not fly into my *****

With 1000 hp I feel its better to maintain the integrity of the stock crank

Perahps Master David Buschur will chime in with his thoughts on the subject

Hopefully he will, I don't think he openly offers this on his engine builds but I would like to here his opinion on it for sure. I don't think it is a must but when I had mine appart I took care of everything possible with every advantage I could get.

I'll build them my way, you build them your way. I remember a guy on here back in 2003-2004 that was going to set the EVO world on fire with his thoughts, input and expert fabricator engine builder.............he's gone now and never accomplished a damn thing, even after having AMS try to help him. He had knife edged the crank, found that the Mitsu head was junk...........wow it was all news to me.

I will not elaborate on the knife edging of the cranks. There are just some things I never elaborate on.

Al:

Good luck on the build cant wait to see how it turns out!

Are those Groden rods? How do you like them? I was planning on getting a set for next season. Even though it broke are you sticking with them or changing ways? Do you know why it broke?

Thanks
Chris

D@mn, sorry if I offended anyone I was just observing one of the fastest guys on here and not seeing that done make my brain start thinking. I would of never said anyone did anything wrong was just curious because you are one of the top builders around and I enjoy learning. You don't have to elaborate its all cool.

Its funny that you mention that car - it brings back a lot of memories

Its funny all the big talking people who have come and gone in the Evo scene - guys like Boost Solutions and his Gt42 Evo which ran 13 something etc

Thats why I am so pleased I made the choice to follow David Buschur's lead with my car. Everytime I have made a choice to go against his advice it wound up costing me a lot of wasted time and frustration. I should have just listend to everything he suggested to me since day one - but at least i learned the hard way on a few stubbron points to teach me a few lessons.

Anyway here was the knife edged crank of ferraro kid

Looks like a ginsu knife. Bet it could cut through a block and still have a clean, straight edge. Guess it was designed to turn 23,000 rpms.

OH YES!!! haha You Al are the man for finding that one! haha I forgot about Boost Solutions, that's another one......you have a good freaking memory. Then you have the entire list of the guys who were going 8's as soon as they got into the 9's, hell if going 9's is easy then 8's will be a breeze. I wish I had a better memory so I could recall all of it. 19 years of doing this and nothing has really changed.
