tune after the cams? are they 280's? AC on or off? possibly vacuum leak or just hte lack of vacuum from larger cams. don't put the car in neutral, downshift through all the gears.

cams are 264/272 and tuned., have the cams in for over 10k miles with no problems., also have a APS twin vent diverter valve.,also been in the car for about 5k miles with no problems., the issue started this morning..it was really cold about 24 deg out., when i first got in the car kindda hesistated to start. sorta like when the battery is dead., but when it finally started, it was fine until i started moving. SEL is on but thats been on for a few days now for a random misfire code., gonna reset the light and see if it comes back on with a diff code., also if there is a vacume leak, what kind of reading would i see on the boost gauge?

if you had big leak you'd know it. 2k rpm idle when warm, boost gauge around -10 instead of -17 or -18. Smaller vac leak wouldn't cause big stalling problems like you are describing but you would see it on a gauge (less vac obviously). sounds like your tune needs a bit of work, as well as your driving technique. don't drop it in neutral and cruise up to a light, stay in gear.

so my boost gauge reads between -5 and -10 on warm idle. but rpm is normal about 1000-1200....altitude here is about 4500ft and temp is between low 30's to high 40's F.....the SEL hasnt come back on yet so i cant take it to get it checked.....ticking sounds is almost like something is loose inside the valve cover., im gonna take it off and have a look i guess., if it is a vacum leak, can i isolate it the same way as a boost leak???,
