Why not give Shep a call and send your stuff in? Charges a very fair price

Shepherd Racing received their new shipment of ring & pinion gears the second week of December.

However, I don't know how many sets he had in that shipment.

Nonetheless it seemed that December shipment fulfilled many orders which just shipped out; including my rebuilt Stage 2 T-Case which I received today:

However, my rebuilt T-Case looks very different from your T-Case (minus the name tag and the fact that mine is a ACD T-Case) in terms of color; it looks like the bolts are coated grey .

It can't be the REM ISF process; I believe that's applied only to the gears and not the entire part.
The REM/ISF process is only done on the Ring and Pinion on the transfercases. I wouldn't worry too much of our TC's looking different as we have different years. Plus it's what's on the inside that counts. not the outside

I believe the outside of the case is glass bead blasted to clean off the grime, leaving it looking like new.

OEM for regular driving, Redline for high HP applications or/and drag use.

Overall the experience was good, and one thing I'd like to say is the guy is FAST. I gave him a call about a week after he received my stuff to review my rebuild options. Asked him whether he thought the REM/ISF process was recommended for my intended HP use, he said no. After getting off the phone and thinking it over I called him the next day, and told him I changed my mind and wanted to go with REM/ISF. Everything was already DONE, but he went off and took everything apart again and charged a very fair price.

I have a 03 so we all know of the known common drivetrain issues from the first year models. Figured might as well send it in now, before more problems start to arise as I track my car on the regular. I previously had a very annoying rattling sound in neutral and when the car was moving. Hopefully it's gone now Will post again once everything is put back on with how the drivetrain feels, etc

Services done:
Evo transmission upgrade rebuild with REM/ISF
Evo IX first gear with input shaft

Stage two with helical LSD and REM/ISF (Helical LSD is a must IMO with the 03's open diff)

What did shipping cost you?

I have been trying for a month now to get my car into Shep. His shipment did come in the beginning of December but some of them were damaged and he told me that he barely has enough to finish what he has. You guys are lucky if you got yours in a timely fashion. I have been trying to get him to do mine for a month now.
