Evo VIII oil consumption problem?

Has anyone else experienced oil consumption in their Evo VIII after 6000mi on car? I got K&N air filter, 3" exhaust front to rear (no cat), and an aftermarket blowoff valve, but other than that this thing is all stock, yet I'm burning now about 1.5 qts of oil every 500 mi. I have been using Mobile1 10w-30 motor oil like it sais on the filler cap. Has anyone else encountered this issue before? I will take it to the dealer to have it fixed under warrantee, but I would like to figure out if anybody else knows if this is a simple problem, before I go and take all my big exhaust off and return the car to stock for dealer inspection.

Something must be wrong on your car. I haven't lost a drop of oil since I took it home from the dealer. Mine's got 1600 miles now.

Near 3k miles I had to put 1/2 quart in. I've heard others have similar usage. Yours sounds like a problem. Did it just start using all that oil at 6k miles?

I don't know how long it has done it? I just started monitering it lately because a couple weeks ago I noticed a little blue smoke out the exhaust pipe when I first get on it, and so I topped off the oil with a couple quarts and then kept a close eye on it for a couple more weeks. And then it was 1.5 low after 500mi! Scary! Maybe I got a lemon? Or maybe it didn't break-in right? Or maybe the WOT mixture was lean with the mods I have and I fried a piston? I hope it's covered under warrantee. When I get it fixed though, I'm going to bring it to the local dyno this time (after I put the exhaust and everything back on), and have them make sure it isn't running lean or something. I also DID have the HKS Super AFR module on it as well (set to Ultimate-Racing.com's A/F specs- because they had the same combo on their test car). I only run 92 octane in it as well with 19psi boost (not modified from stock)

Your plugs will let you know if you have oil being leaked into the combustion chamber. No need to check that if you've seen blue smoke though. Get a compression check and a leak down test.

yea thats ****ed, take it in asap!! Hopefully your dealer is nice, and likes your mods =)

I would make sure your intake is stock, and put your stock BOV back on just to be safe. If your dealer is real picky, i would take even the exhaust off and take it to them 100% stock.
