You may have inadvertently clogged the OCV filter located on the back of the head passenger side if I remember correctly. Without looking I couldnt tell you. Use correct build up oil when installing new cams. Rtv in the oil system when putting valve cover back together. Im just throwing things out there to help narrow it down.
is it the sensor about 3" below the intake cam gear on the back of the head??

we pull out the sensor and cleaned it...did NOT see any RTV... there was oil in one of the holes to it but idk if it should have drained out or not but its gone now because the sensor was removed and cleaned

When everything is lined up on the hack marks. What does your cam angle sensor on the other side look like. For some reason the ECU is thinking that cam angle target is off.

Sorry. With all the timing marks lined up and the cover off the intake cam sensor on the driver side, is the paint mark on the sensor up top. Second just to rule it out when the cam belt was off were you able to move the intake cam gear a few degrees either direction.

TTP has the nomenclature down more so than I. There should be a paint mark that is up top on the trigger wheel when all your timing marks lined up.

Here is what the FSM says to trouble shoot:

1. Oil feeder control valve.
2. Check oil passage of variable valve timing control system for being clogged.
3. Check variable valve timing sprocket operation mechanism for being stuck.
4. Replace ECM.

This is on a stock car.

What type of mivec map are you using? Is it the JDM RS map?
