Dyno tune tomorrow

Tomorrow Bnice01 and I are heading to Stage6 in Jacksonville to get my Evo dyno tuned by MASE.

Power? Hmm What kind of numbers do you all think my Evo is gonna throw down at the wheels on a Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno? I'll be running my typical Shell 93oct pump gas and around 22-24psi.

For those that dont know about my car:
(power mods only)
2005 Evo
stock turbo running 22-24psi
ETS intake
ETS 3" FMIC w/ hard pipes
GM 3 port BCS (thanks to RazorLab)
Ported & ceramic coated stock o2 housing
Helix 272 cams
Helix adjustable cam gears set @ -4/-1
DC Sports 3" downpipe (heat wrapped)
Magnaflow street series (actual muffler not the canister type) 3" catback
Walbro 255lph FP

Dyno numbers estimate:
Bonestock- 320whp/330lbft
Bnice01- 350whp/350lbft

Anyone else care to take a guess? The one and only time its been on the drag strip (1/8th mile... yeah it sucked) was a 1.72 60ft, 8.01et & 89.9 mph trap. With the original clutch and 2nd gear lock-out. (since repaired)

I would guess under 300. That is if the DD is still set up to measure correctly.

i agree...

The IXs including mine with all the bolt-ons and stock turbo dyno @ 300-309whp at 22-23psi on a Dyno Dynamics uncorrected... So with yours if you even see 300whp it is be awsome!!!

let us know...

Well I cant believe it. Have a look.

350.1whp and 303ftlb @ 20-21psi. Base line (in red) (23psi) was 338whp and 290ftlb. Mase said I have the highest HP stock turbo/ECU Evo VIII he has ever had on his dyno. I am over the moon. HAPPY HAPPY!!! 8)

Mase estimated 320whp. On the first pull he stopped, came over and said somethings not right. What mods do you have again because you just made 338 base line! 8)

Just goes to show you how good Bnice01's ROAD TUNE was. You the man Brandon!

Oh and MASE, what a nice guy and the Stage6 guys were very nice and kept us entertained will we waited for MASE to finish up a RSX he was tuning.

thanks man just to think I never touched your map after you got the gm 3port/ets intake, I wish I would of played with it to make mase work more :P . Yeah the base line was pretty rich up top (10.2-10.5) but I set the higher load cells (higher than target load) to run richer for safety. I rather for it to do before the ecu does because of knock. with the gm 3port he was running higher load from the 4k to 75k compared to the stock solenoid/pills, so that would = to running richer because the way I scaled it. But yeah mase is a very nice/laid back dude def know his stuff. Again steven thanks for the invite and def had a blast today.

That graph looks weird.... HP/TRQ does'nt cross where it should. What correction factor is this dyno set up for?

Look at the 2nd pic. 21-22psi. Boost was all over the place as he went along. My FQ340 BPV has been acting up lately. On the way home it was fluttering at WOT. I am gonna order a APS twin vent if anyone would ever get them in stock. Chad @ CBRD offered to let me see if the APS off his own car would solve my problem. I need to call him tomorrow and see if he will send it. Yet another super nice guy!

zbomb- I dunno, you'd have to call and ask MASE.

evovin- Bnice went along for the ride. It was a 4hr one way trip so it was nice to have a good friend along. I believe he will be taking his car up there soon to tune it on the Dyno himself.

We did find that my car is VERY sensitive to timing. Not sure why though. I think it has to do with the LSA of the Helix cams. I was going to have a race gas map made but after today I think I'll just leave it as is and enjoy the car. I need to concentrate on saving for a house now.
