I've been having the 2.0 and 2.3 debate with others as well and the 2.3 nice but while the guy beside me is busy shifting I'll be spinning this biotch right past them

My thoughts exactly. Out of all the street races I've been apart of, every time my car comes out ahead was because of the top end. They were shifting, I was revving, and by the time they caught you to me, I had already shifted and in my upper power band once again. Remember the lag everyone talks about is at the start, but once you get on it and start shifting there's no such thing as lag.... At least I haven't seen it on a well built car...

yep, I don't see anything under 6k with the stock shorty shifting at 8-8.5k so I could care less what's going on under that where the 2.3 might have a slight advantage.

but AMS Says that you CAN take their kit up to 8-8.5k IF its a drag racing event where it won't be held that high for long. But NOT for track racing. Also with most turbos you don't continue to make power when being super high in the rpm's like 9k on up unless you have a really big turbo so why hold it up there unless its just to rev more during the quarter mile so you don't have to switch to a higher gear or something.

That's very interesting Mellon. So now from a roll, say like 60 MPH against a even 2.3, I now think the 2.3 will take off, but once he shifts, it's over... 2.0 will win the game. If I put a HTA 35R on my car, and send that bish to 9,000, there's no 2.3 that's going to be able to keep up unless it's the AMS RR 2.3 and even then, I have my money on the 2.0 being able to go to 10,500!!!!
