GSC S1 -vs- HKS 272
So i have seen the profile on the GSC S1's and they are rated as 268 and of course HKS 272 are...272's has anyone rated them against eachother? I am in the middle of a decision and i can't find anythig directly comparing the two against eachother. Anyone have experience with these cams comparativly?

I dont have experience comparativly but I had the HKS 272s in my V///. I thought they gave me a nice power band with some nice power. What do you have an V/// or a IX? For the IX the S1 I think are great cams.

Brand Name Spec. Cam Duration Cam Lift
These are the specs of both:
HKS Intake 272 10.8mm
HKS Exhaust 272 10.2mm
GSC S1 Intake 268 10.5mm
GSC S1 Exhaust 266 10.5mm
Just look at the lift as well.

Yeahhhhhh after a bit of higher learning (AKA i read so old posts) it seems to be that regardless of the lift the S1's seem to do alot better then the HKS with better mid-range duration and make for a faster spool and a better set-up for the mean time as i still have a stock turbine (obviously i want to change my turbine....i am just not rich ).

if you plan on staying in the stock turbo to fp green range i would go with s1's they will be more responsive, if you plan on going bigger then that i would look into the hks or even a set of s2's

GSC S1's will give you GREAT mid range torque, on a stock turbo with just a drop in and turbo back with those cams, I'm conservatively putting down 345awtq at like 4k (I have to check my Dynosheet)! S1's are just awesome. . .
